Mini ferry?
I am SO EXCITED. This is two blocks from my new workplace. I am going to love going to work every day. The air is salty and the breezes cool. Every hour or so the ferry blows its horn and the freight trains roll by. Edmonds is alive.

Sometimes, I'll admit, I really miss city life. I miss the noises. I miss the people everywhere. I miss the energy. But maybe I romanticize it too much...
I don't miss the homeless on every corner. I don't miss the smells (Seattle was pungent today).
But still, what a gorgeous day to be downtown. It brought me oodles of joy.

June. You are f**king magnificent.
Today was an awesome day. A lot of good things happened today. I capped it all off with a drive home at my favorite time of night, just as the sky was turning sapphire blue. I had the windows down and was listening to "Decode" just as I crested a hill and the Olympic mountains rose up to the west (that's a Twilight reference, for anyone not as nerdy as me). Kirkland smelled of some kind of flowers, vaguely tuberose-esque. I had to stop somewhere with a view just to capture how amazing tonight was.

I organized my closet today. Woohoo! It's quite possible that this will be my last day of total freedom, so I've been working on finishing up projects and just generally organizing the chaos that I have instilled into my home where I've hibernated over the past six months. I am excited to work again, but of course I still don't feel like I accomplished everything I meant to during my time off. It's bittersweet, but my clothes look awesome!
